The Rongai Route is considered one of the easier routes on Mount Kilimanjaro. It is the only route that approaches the mountain from the northern side, offering a different perspective of Kilimanjaro compared to the southern routes. The descent takes place via the Marangu Route. On summit night, the trail from Kibo Hut becomes steep as it follows the same path as the Marangu Route, passing Gilman’s Point before continuing to Uhuru Peak.
