While scaling the renowned high peak in a single day is unfeasible, this trip offers the opportunity to ascend the initial portion of the famed Marangu Route up to Mandara Hut. As you traverse the dense rainforest, you’ll encounter lovely bird species and colobus monkeys, with a chance to spot the inquisitive blue monkeys. The hike involves a 3-hour ascent and a 2-hour descent.
