The seven-day Machame route offers a tough challenge, especially on days four and five. On day four, trekkers face a full-day hike from Barranco to Barafu, followed by a short break and dinner before starting the summit push at midnight. This rigorous schedule involves 19-24 hours of non-stop trekking at high altitudes, with just 4-6 hours of rest. The steep inclines, high elevation, and minimal rest make this one of Kilimanjaro's most demanding routes.
