Mikumi National Park, located in southeastern Tanzania, is the country’s fourth-largest national park, encompassing an area of approximately 3,230 square kilometers (1,250 square miles). It is part of the greater Selous ecosystem, which includes the vast Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve) to the south. Mikumi forms a critical wildlife corridor linking the Selous with the northern parks like Ruaha and Udzungwa Mountains.
