Mount Meru (4,566m), inside Arusha National Park, is often called Kilimanjaro’s little brother. It’s a shorter, less crowded trek with spectacular views of wildlife, craters, and of course Kilimanjaro itself. Unlike Kilimanjaro, Meru begins with a walking safari through forest alive with giraffes, buffalo, and colobus monkeys, making it feel like a blend of trek and safari.
