For me this was the most amazing park because of Mount Kilimanjaro. The day before it rained a lot so it was difficult to see the elephants.

It was very quiet and peaceful park.
Very different from Masai Mara.

I did not see any scavengers there except hyena, but I was satisfied because have already seen them at Masai Mara. I recommend to visit Masai Mara first.

I could spend quite and beautiful time at Amboseli.

A surreal world of Dust devils and Gentle giants!

The Amboseli landscape can not be imagined without these Gentle-giants and Dust-devils! Arid landscape full of surprises in one of the remotest part of Kenya. Overwhelming number of elephants and wildebeests. You must go to the center point mount and feel the scenic view of wetlands and lone tuskers roaming across. I have never been to heaven but for me this experience was no less than that. At time one get too overwhelmed with just number of animals roaming in the park. Only minus point is non-availability of good budget camp. If one gets the chance, stay in Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge. Last suggestion: Go, visit the park!!

We chose Alliance Destinations because James was who first answered us, very willing to accommodate the trip to our needs: specifically, to begin in Nairobi and end it in Mombasa (rather than return to Nairobi) and quickly search an international flight that would allow us to get to Nairobi and back from Mombasa. In turn, that would allow to travel along the coast on our own, that was the intention.

James was always attentive, quickly answering our e-mails. We were able to book without any inconvenience.

He and our guide and driver in the safari which was to begin in just two days, Gerard, were waiting for us at the airport in Nairobi. They took us to our hotel and there we close not only the balance of our safari but we decided to contract with them a day at Nairobi National Park, visit to the orphanage for elephants and Giraffes Center. It was an unforgettable day, already with Gerard, and we highly recommend this tour.

And what about Safari in itself? Everything was perfect and far beyond our expectations. We stayed 2 nights in Masai Mara, 1 night at Lake Nakuru and 2 nights in Amboseli. Masai Mara camp is spectacular (Ashnil Camp); other accommodation, not so much, but very well, particularly comfortable, clean and with very good food.

Masai Mara is not to be missed. Gerard was always willing, our tastes and interests. He seems to maintain the enthusiasm of a first day. Loves his country and his work, knows a lot of animals and the places you visit. It is a very careful driver (in fact, he was excellent in two dangerous situations created by other truck drivers).

I don’t think we can remember the number of animals we saw: Lions, Lions, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes (many!), wildebeests, gazelles of various types, topis, zebras and elephants (thousands of elephants in Amboseli), buffaloes, ostriches, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, birds of all kinds... Gerard was always attentive and did everything supremely well.

Don’t miss the balloon flight... a unique experience that is well worth the big bucks it costs. Excellent Casey, the pilot of a Hot Air Safaris.

The parks are long and strenuous, but very instructive. If you want to learn about Africa and its people there is no best way to go observing their villages, their inhabitants, their routes, the places where they live and how they live... Spectacular.

Lake Nakuru is slightly decadent since flood deprived of its most important attraction, the flamingos. However, it was there where we saw more and better zebras and where we could get off, well guarded by rangers, and closer to zebras and flamingos themselves remaining in the Lake. Beautiful.

Amboseli is the paradise for elephants’ lovers. There are thousands (literally). It is not to be missed. Here James joined us to the safari, with good reviews and his good company.

In the end, two surprises bonus track: a visit to a masai community, touching and unforgettable, and another to the elephant with largest tusks...

We have no words to thank the efficiency, work and love Gerard and James. We strongly recommend Alliance Destinations.

Unforgettable!

The visit at Amboseli was a part of a 5 day safari, including the two Tsavos and Amboseli.
As we drove into the park the Kilimanjaro put away his clouds and presented us his beauty. The next day, as we went away, the clouds came back :-)
Before entering the park we have seen the first animals - elephants and giraffes.
On the road to our lodge (the Ol Tukai Lodge) a lot of animals, zebras, gnus, hippos, elephants, buffalos and much more.
We had an afternoon safari at the first day and were able to see very many animals. A lot of elephants in the sump. Some giraffes. Lions unfortunately only far away.
But at the next day at the morning safari we had a lion family directly at the side of our car. Very impressiv.
We have been at Amboseli only a for some hours. But the big number of animals made this visit unforgettable.
A lot of beautiful pictures - with the Kili in the background.

Magical

Amboseli national park is truly magical place to be. There plenty of wild animals to see including elephants, hippos, buffalos, zebra, wildebeests, variety of birds. In addition to this, you have the bonus of viewing the highest mountain in Africa, that is the Kilimanjaro. So really, everything its in the same location.

One thing though, most animals will only come out of their hiding during evening hours and early morning before it gets too hot.

I can't say enough about Amboselli park. The grounds are beautiful and well manicured. The staff was all around excellent, the food was delicious and plentiful. The suites were out of a movie beautiful! The fact that you can sit in the back yard , have a cocktail while watching beautiful animals like zebras and elephants pass by was a dream! Once in the safari, there were so many jiraffes , elephants, wilder beasts, lions, hyenas, monkeys and other animals that we were amazed and pleasantly surprised! The weather was perfect, and our transportation and guide made our trip most enjoyable! The fact that We were able to see Mt. Kilimanjaro was the huge cherry on top of the cake!! It was incredible and I can't wait to return.

Stunning with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background and lots of elephants on display. Great place to bird too, with over 70 species seen on just one of our many game drives.

Elephants! Who doesn't love elephants? And lions! And Kilimanjaro's majestic rise above the flat plains. It's one of the most beautiful places you can visit.
