Arusha Airport to Lake manyara National Park

Your safari adventure begins upon your arrival at Arusha Airport, where your Hadza Guides Africa driver-guide will meet and brief you. You’ll set off on a scenic 2.5-hour drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Upon arrival, you’ll begin an afternoon game drive, exploring this compact but diverse park. Keep an eye out for elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and the famous tree-climbing lions. The lake itself is often rimmed with thousands of pink flamingos, making for stunning photographs. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park and continue the game drive until late afternoon. As the sun begins to set, you’ll exit the park and head to your comfortable lodge or tented camp near Lake Manyara or in the town of Mto wa Mbu, where you’ll relax and enjoy dinner and overnight stay.

Arusha National Park to Arusha Airport

After an early breakfast, depart from your lodge and drive back toward Arusha National Park (about 2.5 hours). Upon entering the park, you'll be struck by its lush green scenery, with views of Mount Meru and, on clear days, Mount Kilimanjaro. During your game drive, you’ll explore the Momella Lakes, where flamingos and waterbirds gather, and the Ngurdoto Crater, often referred to as “Little Ngorongoro.” Wildlife commonly seen includes giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, warthogs, and black-and-white colobus monkeys. Depending on your departure time, a guided walking safari can be arranged to explore the park on foot with an armed ranger (optional). After a picnic lunch, enjoy a final drive through the park before your transfer to Arusha Airport, where your 2-day safari adventure ends with warm farewells from Hadza Guides Africa.
