Day 1

After your early morning breakfast, you will be picked by an Otters African Safaris guide who will brief you about the safari and thereafter you will start your journey to Volcanoes National Park which is a 3 hours journey from Kigali as you will enjoy the scenic views of the hills on your way to Musanze. You will arrive at the lodge, have lunch and check into the lodge.
After lunch, you will visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of Dian Fossey where you will see the different works of Dian Fossey. Dinner and Overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 2

After your morning breakfast, you will then report at the park headquarters for a briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the Golden monkeys. When you locate the Golden monkeys, you are allowed to spend one hour with them. After the experience you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. You will arrive at your lodge in Bwindi later that evening where you will check in. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 3

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After the early morning breakfast, you will proceed to UWA visitor’s reception where briefing is done before tracking at 7:30am about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. Remember to carry your packed lunch and enough drinking water since you may stay in the forest up to afternoon in search of these gentle giants in their natural environment. Gorilla trekking exercise is physically demanding but an exciting activity. You may need to hire a porter to assist you during tracking and these are readily available at the park headquarters. Time allowed to spend with gorillas is 1 hour when you have found them and this is enough to ask all the questions about their behaviour.
After the gorilla trekking experience you will return to the hotel for relaxation. In the evening the Batwa Pygmies will be invited to the lodge to entertain you. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 4
Transfer back to Kigali International Airport
Transfer back to Kigali International Airport
After your morning breakfast, you will check out of your lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and you will transfer back to Kigali International Airport for your flight back home. You will have an en-route lunch as you proceed to Kigali. Do not forget to purchase a souvenir for yourself as a remembrance for this wonderful trip.
