Transfer to Nyerere National Park & Full-Day Game Drive

Your day begins with a hotel pick-up in Zanzibar and a transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your flight to Nyerere National Park. On arrival at the airstrip, your guide will welcome you and give a short briefing about the day’s safari. From there, you begin your game drive, exploring the park’s open plains and river areas. Breakfast is served inside the park before you continue your wildlife viewing, with chances to see elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras, buffalo and many other animals. Around midday, you will stop for a picnic lunch, then continue with an afternoon game drive, covering new areas as animals become more active later in the day. At around 5:00pm, you exit the park and head to your lodge for check-in, dinner and an overnight stay.

Bushwalk Safari, Maasai Visit & Sunset Boat Safari

Your day begins with a morning bush walk guided by an experienced bushman who will introduce you to the smaller details of the wilderness, including tracks, plants and animal behavior. After the walk, you return to the lodge for breakfast before heading out for a Maasai visit, where you spend time learning about their culture, traditions and way of life. Once the visit is complete, you return to the lodge for lunch and have some time to relax. In the afternoon, around 4:00pm, you depart for a sunset boat safari on the great Rufiji River, watching hippos, crocodiles and birdlife as the sun sets over the water. After the boat safari, you return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Departure for Zanzibar

After an early breakfast, you check out from the lodge and head to the airstrip to board your 7:00am flight back to Zanzibar. When you land in Zanzibar, your driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel, where your safari with us ends.
