Transfer to Nyerere NP & Full-Day Game Drive

Your day begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Zanzibar and a transfer to Zanzibar Airport to catch your flight to Nyerere National Park. When you arrive at the airstrip, your guide will be waiting to welcome you and give you a short briefing about the day’s safari. From there, you’ll begin your game drive, exploring the park’s open plains and river areas. You’ll stop for breakfast inside the park before continuing your wildlife viewing, with chances to see elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras, buffaloes and many other animals. Around noon, you’ll break for lunch at a picnic spot, then continue your afternoon game drive, covering new areas as the animals become more active later in the day. Around 5:00 pm, you’ll exit the park and be driven to your lodge for check-in, dinner and an overnight stay.

Bushwalk Safari, Maasai Visit & Sunset Boat Safari

Your day starts with a morning bush walk guided by an experienced bushman who will introduce you to the small details of the wilderness, including tracks, plants and animal behavior. After the walk, you’ll return to the lodge for breakfast before heading out for a Maasai visit, where you’ll spend time learning about their culture, traditions and way of life. Once the visit is complete, you’ll return to the lodge for lunch and enjoy some time to relax. In the afternoon, around 4:00 pm, you’ll depart for a sunset boat safari on the Great Rufiji River, watching hippos, crocodiles and birdlife as the sun sets over the water. After the boat safari, you’ll head back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Morning Departure

After an early breakfast, you’ll check out from the lodge and head to the airstrip to board your 7:00 am flight back to Zanzibar. When you land in Zanzibar, your driver will be waiting to meet you and transfer you to your hotel, bringing your safari trip to a smooth and easy finish.
