After breakfast, join an experienced ranger for a guided rhino tracking experience at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Explore the sanctuary on foot while searching for southern white rhinos and learning about Uganda’s rhino conservation efforts. After the trek, continue to Murchison Falls National Park and visit the Top of the Falls, where the River Nile is forced through a narrow rocky gorge before plunging downstream. Enjoy the spectacular views before proceeding into the park for an evening game drive. Look out for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, lions, and other wildlife as the afternoon cools. After breakfast, check out of your lodge and begin the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Drive through the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its famous tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a game drive through the area with opportunities to search for lions resting in fig trees, as well as elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, and other wildlife. Afterward, continue toward Bwindi, stopping for lunch at a convenient location along the way. You will have breakfast at 7:00 am, have your packed lunch, and then head to the park headquarters for the briefing. After the briefing, you will be split into small groups of 8 people. You will be allocated a ranger guide to take you to and from the forest. You'll start hiking into the forest in search of these gentle giants. It takes 30 minutes to 6 hours to find them, and the time taken depends on their movement. You'll spend an hour in their presence after finding them. After gorilla tracking, you will go back to the lodge to freshen up. Afterward, you will head to Uganda's smallest national park, Mgahinga Gorilla Nartional Park. You'll check it at the lodge in the nearby town of Kisoro.
