You’ll depart Nairobi early in the morning and drive north through central Kenya, passing Mount Kenya region and crossing the equator en route to Samburu. Arrive at Samburu Sopa Lodge in time for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in Samburu National Reserve, famous for its unique wildlife species such as the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 2
Samburu National Reserve to Aberdares National Park
Samburu National Reserve to Aberdares National Park
After breakfast, depart Samburu and journey south toward the Aberdare Highlands. Arrive at the Aberdare base hotel for lunch, then transfer into The Ark, a unique lodge overlooking a waterhole and salt lick. Spend the afternoon and evening observing elephants, buffaloes, and other wildlife as they come to drink, all from the lodge’s viewing decks.

After breakfast, descend from the Aberdares and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Check in at Ziwa Bush Lodge and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, head out for a game drive around the lake, well known for flamingos, rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, and diverse birdlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
