Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive to the Masai Mara, passing through the scenic Great Rift Valley and the beautiful countryside of Kenya. Arrive at the Mara in time for lunch and check in at your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in the reserve, where you may encounter elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, zebras and other wildlife. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive in the Masai Mara. Explore the open grasslands and different areas of the reserve in search of the Big Five and other wildlife. You will have the opportunity to enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your safari through the afternoon. As the day cools, continue with your game drive until sunset before returning to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru

Enjoy an early breakfast before departing the Masai Mara and travelling towards Lake Nakuru. The journey takes you through the scenic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at Lake Nakuru in the afternoon and, depending on your arrival time, enjoy an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is well known for its rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffalo and abundant birdlife. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha

Start the day with an early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, when wildlife is most active. After breakfast, depart for Lake Naivasha and continue to Crescent Island, a beautiful private wildlife sanctuary on Lake Naivasha. Enjoy a guided walking safari on the island, where you can get close to giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles and other wildlife in a peaceful lakeside setting. After the visit, enjoy lunch before heading out on a relaxing boat ride on Lake Naivasha. The boat excursion provides excellent opportunities to see hippos, fish eagles and a variety of waterbirds, while enjoying the scenic views of the lake and surrounding landscape. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, depart Lake Naivasha and begin the journey south towards Amboseli National Park. This is the longest driving day of the safari, taking you through changing landscapes and local towns as you make your way towards Amboseli. Arrive in the afternoon and check in at your lodge or camp. If time permits, enjoy an afternoon or sunset game drive, with your first opportunity to see Amboseli’s famous elephants and, weather permitting, views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Return to the lodge for lunch and some time to relax before heading out again for an afternoon game drive. Continue exploring the park until sunset before returning to your lodge for dinner and your final night in Amboseli.
