If you are traveling during the migration months, you will witness hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebras stretching across the horizon. Transit from the Highlands to the Shores of Lake Tanganyika

Today marks the transition from the savannah to the jungle. After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport in Arusha for your flight to Kigoma. Since this region is remote and not directly accessible, the journey typically transits via Zanzibar and Dar es Salaam. While longer, this routing is incredibly scenic, offering spectacular aerial views as the landscape gradually shifts from the mountainous Rift Valley to the coastline and eventually to the deep blue expanse of Lake Tanganyika a highlight in itself.

Upon landing in Kigoma, the air will feel humid and tropical. You will be transferred to your hotel overlooking the world's longest and deepest freshwater lake. Spend the evening enjoying a fresh "Ndagala" small fish dinner and watching the "Lamps of Tanganyika" the lanterns of hundreds of small fishing boats sailing across the dark water.

Coming face-to-face with our closest biological relatives in their natural habitat is a profound, life-changing experience.
