Transfer from Nairobi to Maasai Mara

Your journey begins with a morning departure from Nairobi, driving down the spectacular Great Rift Valley escarpment with a stop at the viewpoint for photos. After a scenic drive through Narok town, you arrive at the Masai Mara in time for lunch at your midrange lodge. The afternoon is dedicated to your first game drive in this world-famous reserve, searching for the "Big Five" before returning for dinner and your first night under the stars.

Explore Maasai Mara

Spend a full day exploring the vast savannahs of the Mara. You can opt for an early morning game drive to catch predators while they are still active, followed by a bush breakfast, or take a packed lunch for a deep-dive exploration reaching the Mara River to see hippos and crocodiles. The plains are home to massive herds of zebra and wildebeest, along with cheetahs and lions; you may also choose an optional visit to a traditional Maasai village to learn about their ancient culture.

Mara to Nakuru

After breakfast, you take a drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, a haven for bird enthusiasts and one of the best places in Kenya to see both black and white Rhinoceros. You will spend the day on game drives around the alkaline lake, which is often fringed with pink flamingos. In addition to Rhinos, the park’s acacia forests provide excellent opportunities to spot the elusive leopard and the rare Rothschild’s giraffe.

Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, you depart Lake Nakuru and head toward the freshwater Lake Naivasha. Upon arrival and check-in at your lodge, you will head to the lake for a boat safari to view wallowing hippos and diverse birdlife like African fish eagles. Explore Amboseli

A full day in Amboseli allows for extensive exploration of its unique ecosystems, from dry dusty plains to lush green swamps fed by Kilimanjaro’s melting snow. You will visit Observation Hill for a panoramic view of the entire park and its marshes, where large "tuskers" (giant elephants) spend their days submerged in water.
