Upon arrival at your budget camp or lodge, you will check in and settle into your accommodation. The camps are simple but comfortable, providing an authentic safari experience close to nature. In the evening, you head out for a short introductory game drive, where you may spot elephants, buffaloes, and other wildlife as they become active in the cooler hours.

Day 2

Spend the entire day exploring the vast plains of Maasai Mara National Reserve on a full-day game drive. With packed lunch boxes, you remain in the reserve for extended wildlife viewing, maximizing your chances of encountering the Big Five.

The Mara is known for its rich concentration of wildlife, and your guide will navigate through different areas in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, and other species. A visit to the Mara River is included, where, depending on the season, you may witness the dramatic wildebeest migration crossings or observe hippos and crocodiles.

Lunch is enjoyed picnic-style within the reserve, allowing you to stay immersed in the natural surroundings. The day continues with more game viewing before returning to the camp in the late afternoon.

Upon arrival in Nakuru, you check into your budget hotel or lodge followed by lunch. The rest of the evening is spent at leisure, allowing you to relax after the long journey.

Dinner and overnight are at the lodge, preparing for the next day’s game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park.

Day 4

After the game drive, you begin the journey towards Amboseli National Park. This is a long travel day, passing through Nairobi and heading south towards the Kenya-Tanzania border. Lunch is taken en route, typically as packed lunch boxes to maintain efficiency and reduce costs.
