Departure From Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

You depart from Nairobi in the morning, driving through the scenic countryside and open savannahs of southern Kenya as you head towards Amboseli National Park. Along the way, you enjoy views of local homesteads and the beautiful African landscape, with Mount Kilimanjaro gradually coming into sight on a clear day.

You arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch and a short rest, allowing you to settle in and take in the peaceful surroundings at the foot of Africa’s highest peak. Later in the afternoon, you head out for your first game drive in Amboseli, where the park’s iconic elephant herds roam freely against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.

As the sun sets, you return to your lodge with memorable sightings of wildlife including giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and possibly predators beginning their evening activity. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or camp in Amboseli.

Spend the entire day exploring Amboseli National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. The early hours offer excellent wildlife viewing as animals are most active, with chances to see large elephant herds, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and abundant birdlife. Enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro as you move across the open plains and swamp areas. Break for lunch at your lodge or with a picnic in the park. Continue with an afternoon game drive before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Amboseli Morning Game Drive & Return to Nairobi

After the game drive, return to your lodge for breakfast, check out, and begin your journey back to Nairobi. Arrive in the afternoon with drop-off at your hotel or airport, marking the end of your safari.
