Depart Entebbe early and drive north towards Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino tracking experience. Walk with a trained ranger through the sanctuary as you search for Uganda’s southern white rhinos in their natural surroundings. Continue to Murchison Falls National Park and visit the top of the mighty Murchison Falls, where the Nile is forced through a narrow gorge before plunging dramatically below. Continue to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Wake up early for a morning game drive through the northern sector of Murchison Falls National Park. This is one of the best times to explore the savannah as wildlife is active in the cooler morning hours. Look out for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, Uganda kob, hartebeest, Jackson’s hartebeest, warthogs and, with some luck, lions and leopards. Return for lunch and later take a relaxing boat cruise along the Victoria Nile towards the base of Murchison Falls. Watch hippos and crocodiles along the riverbanks while enjoying the rich birdlife. Optional evening or night game drive.

Day 3
Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, leave Murchison Falls and begin your journey south towards Kibale Forest National Park. Enjoy changing scenery as the savannah gradually gives way to Uganda’s lush countryside, tea plantations and forested landscapes. The drive is long but scenic, offering glimpses of rural life along the way. Arrive in the Kibale area later in the afternoon and check into your lodge. Relax and prepare for tomorrow's chimpanzee trekking experience.

Day 4
Chimpanzee Trekking and Community Experience
Chimpanzee Trekking and Community Experience
Today you explore Kibale Forest, the Primate Capital of the World. After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before entering the forest for a chimpanzee trek. Walk through the lush tropical forest in search of habituated chimpanzee communities, with opportunities to spot red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and other forest species. Your ranger will guide you through the forest as you listen to the calls of primates overhead.
After the trek, enjoy a community experience around Kibale. Meet local people, learn about their daily lives and traditional practices, and experience the warmth of the community. Depending on the activity, you may visit a local home, explore small-scale farming or learn about community-led initiatives. Later, return to the lodge to relax and enjoy the peaceful forest surroundings.

Day 5
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth – Equator – Kazinga channel boat

After breakfast, transfer from Kibale towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. En route, make an Equator photo stop for memorable photographs and a chance to stand in both hemispheres. Continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park and have lunch before enjoying an afternoon boat ride along the famous Kazinga Channel. Cruise between Lake Edward and Lake George while watching large concentrations of hippos, crocodiles, elephants and buffaloes gathering along the shores. The channel is also excellent for birdwatching, with numerous water and savannah species.

Start the day with an early breakfast followed by a morning game drive across the Kasenyi Plains, one of Queen Elizabeth National Park’s best wildlife areas. Search for lions, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kob, warthogs and other plains wildlife. Continue south towards the remote Ishasha sector. Check into your lodge and have lunch before heading out for an evening game drive. Explore the Ishasha plains while looking for the area's famous tree-climbing lions, often seen resting in the large fig and acacia trees.

Continue towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, passing through beautiful hills, villages and agricultural landscapes. As you approach Bwindi, the scenery changes dramatically into steep green hills covered with ancient rainforest. Arrive at your lodge, check in and relax. Your guide will brief you about the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure.

Today is the highlight of your Uganda safari. After an early breakfast, proceed to the gorilla trekking briefing point. Meet your ranger guides before entering Bwindi’s ancient rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The trek can take several hours depending on the location of the gorillas. Once you find them, enjoy a magical encounter as they feed, play and move through the forest. After the trek, transfer towards Mgahinga and relax at your lodge.

Walk through the bamboo and montane forests in search of these beautiful and energetic primates, which are endemic to the Albertine Rift region. The trek also provides an opportunity to appreciate the dramatic Virunga landscape and rich biodiversity of the park. After the activity, return to the lodge for lunch and a relaxing afternoon overlooking the surrounding volcanic scenery. Optional Batwa Experience.

After breakfast, depart Mgahinga and drive to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, surrounded by terraced hills and numerous small islands. The afternoon is dedicated to relaxation and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of this scenic highland lake. Take a traditional canoe ride across the lake, passing small islands and enjoying views of the surrounding hills. This is a slower and more relaxing part of the safari after several days of trekking and wildlife activities.

After arriving in the Lake Mburo area, check into your lodge and enjoy lunch. Later, head out for an afternoon or evening game drive through the park. Watch for zebras, impalas, eland, giraffes, buffaloes, topi and other wildlife as the sun begins to set over the savannah.

Wake up early for a guided walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park. Walking gives you a completely different perspective of the park, allowing you to experience the landscape at a slower pace and observe tracks, plants, birds and wildlife from ground level. After the walk and breakfast, begin your journey towards Entebbe. Make an optional stop at the Equator for photographs and souvenir shopping before continuing to Entebbe for your departure or overnight stay.
