In the morning, you will be picked up by the tour guide and set off on a scenic drive to Nyungwe National Park. You will have an en route visit to Nyanza King’s Palace for a cultural visit. You proceed and reach Nyungwe in the evening for dinner and an overnight sttay.

Day 2

In the morning, you will set off to the forest for a chimpanzee tracking adventure. The trek takes approximately 2 to 4 hours or more depending on the movement of the chimpanzees with one hour spent among them. You will later return to the hotel for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you will go for a canopy walk and return in the evening. You'll have dinner and an overnight stay.

Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
In the morning, you will transfer to Volcanoes National Park— home to mountain gorillas and is recognized as the best place to trek mountain gorillas in the world, reaching in the afternoon. You'll spend the rest of the day at relaxation and go for a walk in Musaze for an encounter with the locals.

Early morning, with a packed lunch, you will go to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on the gorilla tracking adventure. In the evening, you will go for a cultural walk to Iby’Iwacu for a cultural visit, where you will learn more about the Banyarwanda culture. You'll have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5
Dian Fossey Hike

In the morning, you will assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing and proceed to hike up to the Dian Fossey grave site. Through this experience, you'll learn more about her efforts to conserve gorillas and protect their habitat. On return, you will drive back to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. Later, you'll have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6
Golden Monkey Tracking and Transfer back to Kigali
Golden Monkey Tracking and Transfer back to Kigali
Early morning, you will go for golden monkey tracking and enjoy watching them play in the forest. Golden monkeys are endangered primate species only found in the Virunga Mountains, they are playful primates. You be thrilled watching them play, feed and groom each other. On return, you will transfer back to Kigali for drop-off at your hotel.

Day 7

In the morning, you will be transferred to Akagera National Park, reaching early for a short game drive around the park. In the afternoon, you will take a boat cruise on Lake Ihema. You may expect to see hippos, crocodiles, and some water birds. You will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Game Drive and Transfer to Kigali
Game Drive and Transfer to Kigali
Early morning, you will go for a game drive up to the northern part of the park to catch early risers before they go into hiding. You may have a chance to see lions, antelopes, giraffes, bushbucks, among others. On return, you will transfer back to Kigali for drop-off at the airport for your 8:50 am flight back home.
