1-Day Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Safari Uganda

• You'll be collected from the airport.

Your driver guide collects you from your Kampala hotel in the early morning. Your guide will brief you on Ziwa’s history, the rhino conservation program, and what to expect on the day as you travel north toward Masindi.
On arrival at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary’s main gate, you register and receive a comprehensive safety briefing from your assigned Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger — an armed professional who knows every rhino in the sanctuary.
The rhino tracking begins from the sanctuary gate and follows the rangers’ daily knowledge of where each group has been sighted.
When you find the rhinos, your ranger will guide you to within a safe but remarkably close distance — often 20 to 30 metres — and explain the behaviour, history, and personality of each individual animal. Tracking duration: 2–3 hours depending on rhino location within the sanctuary. After the rhino tracking, take a well-earned lunch break at Ziwa’s visitor area.
Depart Ziwa — Return Drive to Kampala.
