7-Day Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Naivasha to Amboseli Trip

Nairobi to Masai Mara

Your tour begins with a 7:30 AM pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport, followed by a drive to the Masai Mara. The journey takes approximately 5 to 6.5 hours, including a scenic stop at the Great Rift Valley.
You will arrive in the Masai Mara shortly after noon, check in at your lodge or camp, and enjoy a hot lunch. In the afternoon, head out for an exciting game drive across the reserve.

After the game drive, return to your lodge or camp by around 5:30–6:00 PM to freshen up before enjoying a freshly prepared dinner. Overnight stay at your lodge or camp.

Today’s itinerary is flexible and can be tailored in consultation with your guide the previous evening.

You may choose to enjoy a relaxed breakfast before heading out around 9:00 AM for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch, returning to the lodge in the late afternoon at approximately 6:00 PM.
Alternatively, you can opt for an early start with a 6:00 AM morning game drive—one of the best times to spot wildlife and possibly witness predator activity. You will then return to the lodge for breakfast and some relaxation before heading out again for an afternoon game drive with a packed lunch. A stop will be made at a scenic picnic site before continuing your game drive until the park closes.

Return to the lodge around 6:00 PM for dinner and an overnight stay.

Mara to Lake Nakuru

After an early breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park for a morning game drive, continuing until around midday. The park is well known for its rich birdlife and diverse wildlife viewing opportunities.
After lunch, proceed to Lake Naivasha where you will enjoy a boat ride on the lake followed by a guided walk on Crescent Island, offering close encounters with wildlife in a peaceful setting.

Later, transfer to your accommodation in Naivasha for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha

After an early breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park for a morning game drive, continuing until around noon. The park offers excellent wildlife viewing and rich birdlife throughout the morning.
After lunch, continue to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride on the lake, followed by a guided walk on Crescent Island, where you can enjoy close-up encounters with wildlife in a tranquil setting.

Later, proceed to your Naivasha accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

You will continue with game drives until around 6:00 PM before returning to your camp or lodge for a freshly prepared dinner. Overnight stay at your camp or lodge.

Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, depart for a morning game drive around 7:00 AM, continuing until approximately 10:30 AM. Return to camp to relax and enjoy lunch.
In the afternoon, set out again at around 3:00 PM for a game drive lasting about three hours, returning to camp before 6:30 PM.

Note: Amboseli can get quite hot during the middle of the day, so game drives around noon are generally not recommended, although they can be arranged upon request.
