Upon arrival in Maun, you are met by your guide and begin your journey toward the NG32 Delta region, leaving town behind as the landscape opens into acacia woodlands, floodplains, and palm-dotted islands of the Okavango Delta.

Accommodation is a spacious mid-range canvas tents (larger than 3x3m), each with beds, a private veranda, and an en-suite bathroom with toilet, shower, and sink. Our team handles all camp duties for a relaxed and comfortable stay in the wilderness.

Day 2

The morning begins with a guided walk in the early light, offering a chance to read tracks, plants, and signs of wildlife before heading onto the water.

You then glide through the Delta in a traditional mokoro, moving quietly along reed-lined channels as your poler navigates hidden waterways. Wildlife sightings are subtle but constant, with birds, frogs, and occasional elephants along the banks.

Today focuses on venturing further into untouched channels where wildlife activity is less disturbed. The mokoro journey takes you through winding waterways and open lagoons that reveal the Delta’s ever-changing ecosystem.

If conditions allow, you will disembark on a remote island for a guided nature walk, where your guide interprets animal tracks, medicinal plants, and the delicate balance of this wetland environment. This is an opportunity to experience the Delta from land as well as water, gaining insight into how wildlife adapts to seasonal flooding.

Return to camp in the late afternoon for rest, storytelling, and another evening under the open sky.
