Arrival and Into the wild

Guests arrive in Maun, where they will be warmly welcomed and their journey begins with a scenic transfer into the Khwai region, where riverine forests meet open floodplains. After settling into camp, head out on a relaxed afternoon game drive. Expect your first encounters with elephants, antelope, and perhaps predators preparing for the night. As the sun sets, return to camp for a fireside dinner under the stars.

Game Drive and Mokoro Experience

Start early with a morning game drive, when the bush is alive with movement. Return for brunch and a short rest before venturing out on a mokoro excursion along quiet channels.
Glide through lily-filled waterways, guided by a local poler, spotting birds, frogs, and aquatic life. This is a slower, more intimate way to connect with the Delta.

Khwai Full Exploration

Guests will start their morning with a light breakfast and continue on a walking safari. Returning to camp, guests will have a full day dedicated to exploring Khwai. Transfer to Mababe – Transition to Remote Wilderness

After breakfast, travel to the Mababe region, a less-visited but incredibly rewarding wilderness area. Arrive at your mobile camp set up in a remote location. Enjoy lunch followed by an afternoon game drive across Mababe’s diverse habitats marsh, woodland, and open plains. This region is excellent for elephants and big cats.

Mababe – Deep Bush Experience

Guests wake up to the tranquil beauty of the Mababe Concession and head out for a morning nature walk. After breakfast, Spend the full day exploring Mababe, afternoon game drives that will take you deeper into this wild and quiet region. With fewer vehicles around, sightings feel raw and uninterrupted. Return to camp for storytelling around the fire and a true bush dining experience.

Transfer to Kazikini – Water Safari Begins

After breakfast, guests will journey toward Kazikini, where the Delta opens into broader waterways. Settle into camp before heading out on a motorized boat safari. Cruise along channels lined with papyrus, watching hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife. The sunset over the water offers a completely different perspective of the Delta. The evening is spent at leisure with dinner and storytelling around the fire.
