Day 2
Masai Mara
Masai Mara
Have an early breakfast at 6:30 am, then depart for a full day of game viewing. This is the most important day, as we hope to see the Big Five, especially the big cats, which are extremely elusive. We will also visit the famous Mara River, where the great migration happens, take a guided tour with the rangers to see the Nile crocodiles and hippo families, and, just to top it off, have a picnic lunch under a tree in the park overlooking the vast landscapes.
It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the great migration. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savannah: lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas and vultures.

We will offer lunch on the way in a traveler’s motel.
Arrive in Nakuru, check in at your hotel and rest. We will not have a game drive on this day, so you can relax and either swim at the pool or take a walk around your hotel.

The ecosystem comprises the lake, surrounded by wooded and bushy grasslands. The park supports a wide ecological diversity, including flamingos (greater and lesser) and other waterbirds, and the black and white rhinoceros, which are the major attractions of the area.
You will have lunch at a traveler’s motel in Naivasha. After lunch, head to Lake Naivasha for a 1-hour boat ride.
While on the boat ride, enjoy bird watching, eagle feeding, pelican viewing and hippo viewing. Once your boat ride comes to an end, return to the dock.
