Upon arrival in Johannesburg, you connect with your scheduled flight to Richards Bay. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to Phinda Private Game Reserve, one of South Africa's most celebrated safari destinations.
After settling into your suite at Phinda Zuka Lodge, you'll enjoy lunch and time to relax before heading out on your first afternoon game drive. Accompanied by expert guides and trackers, you explore the reserve's diverse ecosystems in search of the Big Five and other remarkable wildlife.
You will return to the lodge as the sun sets for dinner and your first evening in the African bush.

Day 2
Pangolin Tracking Experience
Pangolin Tracking Experience
Awake to the sounds of the African bush and set out on an early morning game drive, when wildlife is at its most active. Accompanied by expert guides and trackers, search for Phinda's abundant wildlife. You return to the lodge for breakfast and time to relax before the day's highlight.
Later, you will enjoy one of Phinda's most exclusive conservation experiences— a guided Pangolin Tracking Experience. Accompanied by a specialist researcher, you will venture into the reserve to locate one of the pangolins that has been reintroduced to the area. You observe this rare and endangered mammal up close while learning about its unique adaptations, behaviour, and the conservation efforts aimed at protecting the world's most trafficked mammal. During the experience, the researcher will conduct a health assessment and collect valuable monitoring data.
In the afternoon, you head out on another game drive before returning to the lodge at sunset for dinner and an evening under the African stars.

Phinda to Cape Town
Phinda to Cape Town
After a final morning at leisure and breakfast, you will transfer to Durban's King Shaka International Airport for your onward flight to Cape Town.
Upon arrival in Cape Town, you will be met and transferred to the iconic Mount Nelson Hotel, set at the foot of Table Mountain in the heart of the city.
The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax or begin exploring South Africa's Mother City.

• You travel to Sea Point and Camp’s Bay for scenic ocean vistas.

• Travel at a pace that allows you to explore the beauty of the Cape Peninsula.
• Depart for the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve along one of South Africa’s most scenic routes, passing Hout Bay.
• Travel along Chapman's Peak Drive (conditions permitting).
• Visit the penguin colony at Boulders Beach.
• Continue to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve.
• The scenery en route to Cape Point, at the South Western tip of the reserve, is particularly lovely in spring when wildflowers carpet the landscape.
• The new lighthouse – the most powerful in the world – beams an electric light of 19 million candlepower across the ocean.
• Ascend to the top by Funicular
You will return to the hotel and spend the balance of the day at leisure.
