Your safari adventure begins early in the morning with a scenic drive from Nairobi toward Amboseli National Park, passing through rural countryside, local towns, and open plains. Along the way, enjoy views of traditional homesteads and grazing livestock as you approach the Kenya–Tanzania border.
Arrive at Penety Amboseli Resort in time for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in Amboseli. The park is world-famous for its large herds of African elephants, often seen walking gracefully across the dusty plains with Mount Kilimanjaro rising majestically in the background. You may also encounter buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and a wide variety of bird species. Predators such as lions and cheetahs are present, though sightings vary depending on the season.
You'll return to your resort at sunset for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, depart for a morning game drive, the best time to see wildlife when animals are most active and temperatures are cooler. Explore Amboseli’s diverse habitats, including open savannah, marshlands fed by underground springs from Kilimanjaro, and dry lake beds.
You may choose to return to the camp for lunch or enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch inside the park. The swamps attract elephants, hippos, and many bird species such as pelicans, herons, and crowned cranes. Clear weather offers exceptional photography opportunities with Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak fully visible.
In the afternoon, continue your safari before returning to camp to relax, share stories around the campfire, and enjoy dinner.

Day 3
Amboseli to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, check out and begin your journey north through the Great Rift Valley, one of Africa’s most dramatic landscapes. En route, stop at scenic viewpoints overlooking the valley floor for photos.
Arrive at Lake Naivasha in the afternoon and check in at your budget lodge. After lunch, enjoy a boat safari on the lake, gliding past pods of hippos and watching fish eagles swoop down to catch fish. The lake is a paradise for bird lovers, hosting over 400 bird species.
Later, take a guided walking safari along the lakeshore or on Crescent Island, where you can walk safely among giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and antelopes, experiencing wildlife from a unique perspective.

Day 4

After breakfast, you'll depart for either Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its flamingos and rhinos, or head to Hell’s Gate National Park for an optional bike ride and walking safari through scenic gorges and dramatic landscapes. You'll enjoy close encounters with wildlife in their natural habitat.
Later in the evening, you will proceed to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5
Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara

After breakfast, you will depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve. You will travel through the Masai country occasionally, coming across Masai herdsmen with their livestock living harmoniously with the wildlife. After lunch at your residence lodge, you will relax till evening, then you will be picked up by the Maasai warriors to visit one of the few existing Maasai villages. You will have the Manyatta experience and Maasai dances. You'll go back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Your overnight stay will be at the camp or lodge.

Day 6

Today's itinerary is flexible. You can discuss with your guide and plan for the day’s schedule.
You can have a relaxed breakfast and depart for full-day game drives around the park at 6:30 am with your picnic lunch. This will give you a chance to visit the Mara River, where the migration happens during its time. Also, you'll have better chances to view wildlife all day and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
A Masai Mara safari is an unmissable highlight of any holiday in Kenya.
