Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Depart Nairobi early in the morning and drive southeast toward Amboseli National Park, enjoying scenic views of the Chyulu Hills along the way. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, then set off on an afternoon game drive across the open plains beneath Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds, and you'll also have the chance to spot buffalo, giraffe, zebra, and an abundance of birdlife against the dramatic mountain backdrop. Return to your camp in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay. An optional sundowner experience is available for an extra cost, offering spectacular views as the sun sets over the savannah.

Amboseli to Tsavo East National Park

After an early breakfast, enjoy one final morning game drive in Amboseli before departing for Tsavo East National Park. The drive takes you through changing landscapes as you cross into Kenya's largest national park, known for its vast red-earth plains and rugged wilderness. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, followed by some free time to relax by the pool. In the late afternoon, set out on a game drive in search of Tsavo's famous red elephants, along with lions, buffalo, and giraffe roaming the open savannah. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. An optional guided nature walk is available for an extra cost for guests wishing to explore the surroundings on foot.

Tsavo East Game Drive and Departure

Wake up early for a final game drive through Tsavo East, taking advantage of the cool morning hours when wildlife is most active. Look out for lions, elephants, buffalo, and the park's famous red-earth landscapes before returning to the lodge for breakfast. Afterward, check out and begin the scenic drive back to Nairobi by private Land Cruiser, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening depending on traffic. Alternatively, a train transfer to Nairobi is available for an extra cost, arriving at approximately 2 PM. Your driver-guide will make stops along the way as needed for comfort breaks and refreshments. This marks the end of your unforgettable Amboseli and Tsavo East safari experience.
