Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Zanzibar and transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight to Mikumi National Park. Upon arrival at the airstrip, you will be welcomed by your professional safari driver-guide and begin your first game drive in Mikumi National Park.
Mikumi is known for its broad open plains and excellent wildlife-viewing opportunities. During your game drive, look out for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas, hippos, and a variety of birdlife. Lions are also frequently encountered within the park. A picnic lunch or lodge lunch will be provided depending on the final arrangements. Continue exploring the park during the afternoon, visiting different wildlife areas and water sources.
Later, drive to your accommodation for check-in, dinner, and overnight.

After breakfast, depart for another morning game drive in Mikumi National Park. The morning hours provide another opportunity to explore different sections of the park while animals are generally more active in the cooler temperatures. Your guide will search for wildlife based on recent sightings and local conditions.
After the game drive, enjoy lunch before beginning your afternoon road transfer toward Morogoro. The journey offers a change of scenery as you leave the wildlife areas and travel toward the foothills of the Uluguru Mountains.
On arrival in Morogoro, check in at your hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.

After an early breakfast, depart Morogoro and travel south toward Nyerere National Park, entering through Matambwe Gate. The journey takes you through rural landscapes and local communities before reaching the protected wilderness of Nyerere. After completing the park entry formalities, begin your game drive en route to your safari camp or lodge.
Nyerere National Park offers a diverse landscape of miombo woodland, open grasslands, seasonal lakes and riverine habitats. Wildlife may include elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, lions, hippos, crocodiles, various antelope species and, with luck, African wild dogs. A picnic lunch will be provided during the journey or inside the park.
Continue your game drive during the afternoon before arriving at your accommodation for check-in, dinner, and overnight.

Rise early and head to the Rufiji River for a sunrise boat safari, one of the most memorable ways to experience Nyerere National Park. As the morning light spreads across the river, cruise through the waterways while watching for hippos, crocodiles, waterbirds, and other wildlife along the riverbanks. The peaceful early-morning atmosphere and beautiful sunrise make this a particularly special safari experience.
After the boat safari, return for breakfast before departing on your final game drive in Nyerere National Park. Spend the remainder of the morning exploring the park’s wildlife-rich areas, with opportunities to see elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, lions, antelopes and a wide variety of birdlife.
Enjoy lunch in the middle of the day before transferring to the airstrip for your afternoon flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, our representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you back to your hotel.
