Game drive

Depart Nairobi early in the morning and drive south towards Amboseli National Park. The journey takes you through the Kenyan countryside towards the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Arrive in Amboseli around midday and check in at your lodge/camp. After lunch and a short rest, enjoy your first afternoon game drive.

Amboseli is particularly known for its large elephant herds, open plains, wetlands and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro later return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Game drive

After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive.

Explore the park's different habitats, including the seasonal lake basin, swamps and open savannah. Look out for elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, hippos and numerous bird species.

You may also visit Observation Hill, which provides panoramic views across the Amboseli ecosystem.

Return to your accommodation in the late afternoon for relaxation and dinner and overnight.

Have an early breakfast and depart Amboseli for the Maasai Mara by air transfer.

This is a longer transfer day opting for air transfer from Amboseli to Masai mara National Reserve. Enjoy the changing landscapes and rural communities from aerial view.

Arrive at the Maasai Mara in the afternoon and check in. Depending on arrival time, enjoy an afternoon game drive.

The Maasai Mara is one of Kenya's major wildlife destinations and is particularly renowned for its big-game viewing and the annual wildebeest migration.

Game drive

Spend the entire day exploring the Maasai Mara.

Enjoy an early morning game drive followed by breakfast, then continue exploring the reserve. You may choose to have a picnic lunch in the reserve to maximize your game-viewing time.

Look for lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs and, with luck, leopards. The Mara is also renowned for the annual Great Wildebeest Migration.

Return to camp in the late afternoon afterwards return to hotel for dinner and overnight.
