Depart very early for Lake Nakuru National Park. Enjoy your hot lunch at Nyahururu then proceed on with your journey. The park covers 180 sq km and is home to warthogs, waterbuck, buffaloes, reed bucks, and the occasional leopard. White and black rhinos were introduced to the park some years ago and you may find white rhino at the southern end. The park has also retained its reputation as an ornithologists’ delight with more than 400 species of bird found here.

Depart with picnic lunch boxes after your morning breakfast and transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve. The Reserve is administered by the local county council. It is probably the most famous and most visited reserve in Kenya. Depart after Breakfast for Amboseli National Park. Amboseli National Park is in southern Kenya. It’s known for its large elephant herds and views of immense Mount Kilimanjaro, across the border in Tanzania. Observation Hill offers panoramas of the peak and the park’s plains and swamps. Varied wildlife includes giraffes, zebras, cheetahs and hundreds of bird species. The western section is dominated by vast Lake Amboseli, which is dry outside the rainy season.

Amboseli has an endless underground water supply filtered through thousands of feet of volcanic rock from Kilimanjaro’s ice cap, which funnel into two clear water springs in the heart of the park.
However, the climatic pendulum can swing from drought to flood, and in the early 1990’s ceaseless rain changed Amboseli into a swamp. A few years later the rains failed and the grass-covered plains turned to dust.
