Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel, residence, or the airport, followed by a transfer to our office for a short briefing and introduction to your small safari group. The second day in the Maasai Mara is crafted for a full and unforgettable safari adventure. Begin with a full-day game drive, with opportunities to spot a wide range of wildlife across the reserve’s diverse landscapes. Guests can also choose optional experiences at an additional cost, such as a cultural visit to a Maasai village or an extraordinary hot air balloon safari. Balloon guests rise before dawn to soar above the savannah at sunrise, watching wildlife from the sky, followed by a celebratory champagne breakfast upon landing.

After the optional morning activities, continue with game viewing throughout the day, pausing for a scenic picnic lunch along the Mara River. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in Maasai culture during a visit to a local community, learning about their traditions, lifestyle, and vibrant heritage. As the day concludes, return to Miti Mingi Eco Camp for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay, enveloped by the sights and sounds of the wild Maasai Mara.

Though relatively compact, the park provides a few hours of excellent game viewing and photography, even during the busy peak season.

After breakfast, embark on a game drive at Hells Gate National Park, located near Lake Naivasha, one of Kenya’s beautiful freshwater lakes. The lake attracts a rich variety of fish-eating birds, including eagles, cormorants, pelicans, and kingfishers. Guests may also opt for a boat trip to Crescent Island (at an extra cost), where giraffes, zebras, gazelles, waterbucks, and numerous bird species roam freely.
