Maun to the Moremi Game Reserve
Your guides will meet you at your accommodation in Maun or at the airport after your arrival flight. From here, you begin your journey toward your first campsite inside the Moremi Game Reserve, aiming to arrive before sunset. The drive takes around four hours, though this can vary depending on wildlife sightings along the way. Elephants, impala, warthogs, and many other species are often seen even before you reach camp.
On arrival, you’ll be welcomed with snacks and refreshing sundowner drinks as the team settles you in. Dinner is served at approximately 7:30pm, and your first activities will begin the following morning.
As you are now inside Moremi, activities are limited to daytime game drives, but the wildlife experience continues long after dark. At night you may hear hippos grazing nearby, lions calling in the distance, and the distinctive whoops of hyenas as they move through the area. It’s an unforgettable introduction to life in the bush.
