Arusha to Mahale Mountains National Park

You'll be picked up from a hotel in Arusha, then be transferred to Arusha Airstrip for departure to Mahale Mountains. You will be picked up on arrival and be transferred to the camp for lunch. Afterwards, you will proceed with chimpanzee tracking in the forest. Observing the chimpanzees in their natural habitat, one cannot help but be touched by their natural grace and anthropomorphic features. Dinner and your overnight stay are at Mango Bandas.

Chimpanzee Trekking

After breakfast, we will have an 8:00 am chimpanzee tracking tour in the forest. The hike takes you to the chimp’s habitation areas that are accessible and not strenuous. However, being in good physical condition will ease the strain of walking through the jungle. Up close, observing the endangered primates is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Meals and your overnight stay will be at Mango Bandas.

Chimpanzee Trekking

You will have breakfast at 7:00 am and then at 8:00 am go for chimpanzee trekking in the forest. You will visit waterfalls inside the park, go birding watching, and in the evening, have time to swim in Lake Tanganyika followed by a bonfire on the beach. Meals and your overnight stay will be at Mango Bandas.

Mahale to Arusha

You will have breakfast in the morning. At 8:00 am, you'll be picked up and transferred to Mahale Airstrip for departure by a shared charter flight back to Arusha town. You will be met and assisted to connect onward to an international flight.
