Dar es Salaam-Nyerere National Park

After an early breakfast in Dar es Salaam, depart by road to Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve). The drive takes around 4–5 hours, passing through vibrant villages, farmlands, and stretches of natural miombo woodlands before reaching the park gate. Entering the park, enjoy a game drive en route to Serena Mivumo River Lodge, spotting elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and perhaps even lions or African wild dogs along the way. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch overlooking the Rufiji River, then head out on an afternoon game drive exploring the park’s diverse landscapes—open savannahs, riverine forests, and oxbow lakes teeming with hippos and crocodiles. Return to the lodge at sunset for relaxation, dinner, and overnight at Serena Mivumo River Lodge.
