Hoedspruit - Sabi Sand Game Reserve

Upon arrival at Hoedspruit Airport, you will be met and transferred to Arathusa Safari Lodge in the Sabi Sand Private Nature Reserve. Once you arrive at the lodge, settle in, before setting out on your first shared afternoon game drive to begin your search for the animals, including the Big Five.

Transfers from other airports, such as Nelspruit, Phalaborwa and Johannesburg, can also be arranged at an additional cost.

Sabi Sand Game Reserve

The morning game drive starts at sunrise. You will wake up before dawn for tea and coffee before the game drive starts. Then, you are off for 3 hours to find as many animals as possible before they all find trees to hide under in the heat of the day. When the game drive returns to the lodge, you will be served a delicious hot breakfast and have time to relax. You can sit by the pool, read a book, take a nap and absorb being out in the bush.

A 45-60 minute walk with an armed guide after the drive is also included on a daily basis.

After high tea, the afternoon game drive will start around 3:30–4:00 PM. It will last for +-3 hours, with a stop somewhere for sundowners. You will return to the lodge in the dark, with a spotlight to look for nocturnal animals.

Sabi Sand Game Reserve to Hoedspruit

After your final morning game, enjoy a hot breakfast and depart the lodge for your road transfer to Hoedspruit Airport.
