Today, you will drive south to the jungle of Kibale in preparation for chimp trekking. Kibale offers a premier chimp tracking and the best Africa has to offer. You will have lunch along the way. You can choose to relax at the lodge or take a guided walk through the community after the long drive.

Day 3
Chimp Trekking in Kibale Forest (AM) & Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary
Chimp Trekking in Kibale Forest (AM) & Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary
After an early breakfast, you'll drive to Kibale Forest National Park, a tropical rainforest, or you can call it the Primate Capital of the world, with 13 species of primates, and check in for a briefing. You will later be divided into small groups and enter the forest with a park ranger. This activity usually takes around three hours, including a full hour of their company. You are advised to carry enough drinking water. After lunch, you will explore Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, offering an opportunity to see birds, monkeys, and other creatures.

After breakfast, you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park and have a game drive. Queen Elizabeth is the most bio diverse national park with a bird checklist of 610 species, 95 mammal species, and around 10 primate species. A game drive here offers an opportunity to see African safari favorites like lions, leopards, elephants, and much more!

Today begins with an early morning game drive in search of more wildlife, like antelopes, and many species of primates. After lunch, you will go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. After that, you will go for an afternoon game drive to look for animals. There is an opportunity to see animals like elephants, lions, leopards, and lots of birds.

After breakfast, you will proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On your way to Bwindi, you will visit the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park called Ishasha, famously known for its tree-climbing lions. You will have lunch along the way.

Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early breakfast, you will drive to the briefing point in the forest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to get enlightened about your adventure with the mountain gorillas. You are advised to carry enough drinking water and a lunch box. At a cost of 20 US dollars, you can get a porter to carry your bag and give you a hand in slippery or steep parts of the forest. After the briefing, you are distributed into groups of eight and led by a park ranger into the forest. Rain gear is important considering that Bwindi is a tropical rainforest. After the trek, you will be transferred to Kisoro in preparation for the golden monkey trekking.

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to Mgahinga National Park for a briefing before entering the forest to search for the bamboo-associated primates. Some consider this the next best thing after gorilla trekking. You will be allowed one hour with these beautiful Albertine rift endemics. After the activity, you will be transferred back to the lodge to relax!

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park for an Afternoon Game Drive
Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park for an Afternoon Game Drive
You'll proceed to Lake Mburo National Park and have a game drive on your way in. This is the smallest savannah park, but heavily populated. It gives a good break from a gorilla safari or even a fresh start for a safari, depending on the route plan of your safari. As you drive through, it's easy to see zebras, impalas, waterbucks, and others. Please note that on a good day, you can see a leopard, but better still, during the night game drive, which can be arranged.

Morning Walking Safari, Return to Entebbe
Morning Walking Safari, Return to Entebbe
Today begins with coffee and a walking safari into the wild Lake Mburo in search of wildlife. After the adventure, you will return to the Lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, you will embark on your return journey. You'll have a lunch stop at the Equator and proceed to Entebbe to catch your flight.
