Arusha National Park & Walking Safari

Your pickup is scheduled at 7:00 am from your accommodation, followed by a transfer to Arusha National Park for an initial game drive. This component is designed to introduce first-time visitors to safari conditions, with an emphasis on interpreting wildlife behavior, habitat variation, and the park’s ecological context, including montane forest, open grassland, alkaline lakes, and volcanic formations associated with Mount Meru.

A guided walking safari is subsequently conducted under the supervision of an armed ranger. This activity provides a more detailed, ground-level perspective, where attention is directed toward tracks, plant ecology, smaller fauna, and the sensory aspects of the environment that are not typically accessible from a vehicle. The experience is structured to balance safety with close observation, offering a foundational understanding of both wildlife and ecosystem processes.

Tarangire National Park

Following breakfast, pickup is scheduled at 7:00 am from the client’s hotel, after which a transfer to Tarangire National Park is undertaken. The park is characterized by gently rolling savannah, seasonal swamps, and the Tarangire River, a permanent water source that supports a high concentration of wildlife, particularly during the dry season. Large elephant herds are a notable feature, alongside giraffe, buffalo, antelope species, and a diverse range of birdlife.

Game viewing is conducted throughout the day with regular interpretive guidance to help first-time visitors understand animal behavior, habitat use, and the ecological significance of the landscape. Lunch is served at a designated picnic site within the park. In the afternoon, the game drive continues, often focusing on areas of increased wildlife activity as temperatures begin to cool. Later in the day, a transfer is made to overnight accommodation in Kankari Lodge.
