Arusha to Arusha National Park

This is where all of your planning becomes a reality: your safari starts now. Tanzania is such a wonderful country when it comes to wildlife and beautiful landscapes. After we greet you and answer any questions you might have, we'll take great pleasure in taking you out and showing you what we mean.

You could come to Arusha National Park for the wildlife; birds are abundant, and you’ll almost certainly see giraffes, zebras, buffalos, and perhaps elephants and hippos. But you’ll hardly be able to take your eyes off the scenery—here the Rift Valley is at its most beautiful. Rising above the park, Mt. Meru is a volcano drawn from a child’s imagination. Ngurdoto Crater is one of the most dazzling anywhere in Tanzania. It’s smaller than Ngorongoro, but otherwise just as impressive.

After lunch, shall have a road transfer from Arusha to Karatu Lilac Hideaway Cottages for leisure, dinner and overnight.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater Tour

This morning, we'll be taking you to the next stage of your safari, but you'll also get to enjoy one last game drive along the way.

You’ll learn why magical Ngorongoro is unlike anywhere else in Africa. Cloud forests encircle the crater rim, and the view out across the caldera of this former volcano—quite apart from the altitude—will leave you gasping for air. Your drive down a steep trail carries you onto the crater floor, where a unique wildlife offering adds to the sheer beauty of the experience. You’ll share the sunken ecosystem of the crater floor with hyenas, lions, elephants, black rhinos, and hippos. An ecosystem that has formed in the crater in the millennia since the volcano wrought its terrible fury upon the land. It could just be one of your best safari days ever.
