3-Day Selous (Nyerere Park) Safari from Zanzibar

Zanzibar to Selous (Nyerere National Park)

You will be picked up in the morning from your hotel in Zanzibar after breakfast and drive to the ferry in Stone Town where you will take a ferry to Dar es Salaam. A ferry takes approximately 2 hours and once in Dar es Salaam you will be picked up by a Sunday Safaris representative and drive directly to Nyerere National Park. You will do an evening boat safari in the Rufiji River and you will have an opportunity to see crocodiles, hippos, and water birds.
Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Selous River View Lodge.

Selous ( Nyerere National Park)

After breakfast, you will leave your lodge for a full-day game drive in Selous (Nyerere National Park) and you will take a packed lunch with you. Selous (Nyerere National Park) is an untouched wilderness and a great place to do a safari. The park has different species of flora and fauna from crocodiles to big herds of elephants which are often seen along the river. Rufiji River is home to hippos and crocodiles as well as thousands of aqua birds which are seen along the river trying to catch some fish. Big cats like lions and leopards are also common in this beautiful park.
