Your adventure begins from your hotel, where our experienced driver will pick you up and transport you to Zanzibar Airport. From there, you'll catch a flight to Mtemere Airstrip, your gateway to Nyerere National Park.

Prepare for a full day of captivating game drives in Nyerere National Park, where a plethora of tourist attractions awaits. This vast wilderness boasts a diverse range of African treasures, including wildlife, birds, rivers, lakes, and more. Keep an eye out for elephants, zebras, giraffes, hippos, and a myriad of other captivating creatures.

As the day unfolds, you'll enjoy a hearty packed lunch and some well-deserved relaxation. Then, the adventure continues with more game drives, taking you into the enchanting African wilderness until the sun sets. Finally, you'll be escorted to Selous Safari Lodge for a delightful dinner, and a peaceful night's sleep.

Bushman Walking Safari & Sunset Boat Safari

Your day begins early with a 6:30 a.m. departure for a guided Bush Walk Safari. Accompanied by an experienced ranger, you’ll explore the wilderness on foot for about 1.5 to 2 hours, learning about the smaller details of the bush—animal tracks, plants, and the sounds of the wild that are often missed during a game drive. After the walk, return to the lodge for a full breakfast and some time to relax. Later, enjoy lunch at the lodge before preparing for your Sunset Point Safari. In the late afternoon, head to the Great Rufiji River for a tranquil boat safari lasting about 1.5 to 2 hours. Watch as the sun sets over the water, creating a perfect backdrop for sightings of hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birds. After the safari, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Maasai Visit & Village Tour

After breakfast, you’ll depart from the lodge for a visit to a local Maasai community. Here, you’ll spend time with the Maasai people, learning about their rich culture, traditions, and way of life. Enjoy the opportunity to engage with them and gain insight into their customs and daily activities. Afterward, continue to a nearby village for a guided tour where you’ll experience the rhythm of rural life. You’ll visit local homes, see how people live, and if it’s a weekday, stop by a village school to meet students and teachers. You’ll also explore the local market area to observe the community’s day-to-day interactions and trade. After the tour, return to the lodge for lunch and some time to relax before your 4:30 p.m. flight. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, your driver will meet you and transfer you back to your hotel, marking the end of your cultural and community experience.
