Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and after immigration formalities Wild Pride Safaris’ Driver-guide will meet you and transfer you to Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you will hopefully have time to relax and prepare for your Tanzanian Safari & Zanzibar. Dinner and overnight at Giraffe Manor Tanzania in Platinum Room.

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel and drive to Tarangire National Park
Game drive in the park with picnic lunch.
Tarangire National Park (2,600km2) has unrivalled landscape of open plains, dotted with thousands of baobabs. It is located about 120kms south of Arusha. Tarangire is known for its lions and very big herds of buffalo. This is one of Africa’s little-known gems and should be on the itinerary of all lovers of wilderness and solitude. The animals include zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, Maasai giraffe and fringe-eared oryx (gemsbok). Predators include lion, cheetah and leopard. Birders will want to look out for the endemic ashy starling, rufous-tailed weaver and black-collared lovebird.

Tarangire -Ngorongoro

After breakfast drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a morning crater tour with picnic lunch.

Descend 2000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the crater (more precisely a caldera). This 304 square kilometre enclosed ecosphere was formed some two or three million years ago in the massive explosion of a volcano once higher than Kilimanjaro, and offers the best game viewing opportunities in all of Tanzania. Explore the forest areas inhabited by monkeys and elephant, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. With some 25,000 large mammals within the caldera, you will have the opportunity to see, in addition to ‘the big five animals such as wildebeest, gazelle, reedbuck, bushbuck, hartebeest, hippo, antelope, both Grant’s and Thompson’s gazelle, impala, to name a few, as well as over 500 bird species.

Another full days of game drives in the Serengeti awaits.

The days' pace can be more relaxed, with drives in the cooler early morning and late afternoon hours in search of migration. The Great Migration (also referred to as "Serengeti Migration") is arguably the greatest wildlife show on earth. It is the largest single movement of wildlife on earth in search of water, pasture, and breeding grounds. Beyond the great migrating herds, look for cheetah, lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, wildebeest, hartebeest, topi, eland, crocodile, and Thomson's and Grant's gazelle. Birdlife is just as rich, with over 500 species recorded like ostrich, secretary bird, marabou stork, and the kori bustard, the world's heaviest flying bird.

Zanzibar Island - Zanzibar Airport

After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel and transferred to Zanzibar Airport.
Depending on your flight time, (optional) we can take you for our guided Stone Town tour, where you can
visit most of the historical sites like the Central market of Zanzibar to see some fresh fish coming from
different angles of the Island, the Former Slave Market, the House of Wonders, the Old Fort, The Palace
Museum, and interesting walks along the narrow lanes of the stone town where you can still shop around on the way.
Later, you will be transferred to Zanzibar Airport for your international flight.
