Flight Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park, arrive at lunch-time, afternoon game drive, and overnight Rufiji River Camp.

Fly from Dar es Salaam to Nyerere, and enjoy birds-eye viewsof herds of animals grazing, winding rivers, and vast stretches of endless bush. After lunch on arrival head out to discover the magic of the Nyerere up close with an afternoon game drive, before returning to Rufiji River Camp, where we’ll be staying for both nights. Watch hippos and crocodiles lazing on the sandbanks from your private verandah outside your comfortable tent, before enjoying a fabulous dinner.

Another incredible game viewing at Nyerere National park

Here in Nyerere National Park, you might fall in love with going on safari. Nyerere National Park is after all, home to one of the biggest lion populations in Africa. Lion, elephant, zebra, giraffe, hippo, crocodile, buffalo, wildebeest – you’re almost guaranteed to see plenty of these. It’s also a good place to see African wild dogs and leopards, but these are definitely harder to find. Wherever you look, the backdrop to all these animals is always beautiful. The rocky hills rise over parts of the reserve, the Rufiji River is hippo-filled, and the lakes are fringed with palm trees.
