Day 1

Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

You will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and driven to the Masai Mara National Reserve via a scenic route along the Great Rift Valley. Along the way, you will stop at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint for a fantastic sightseeing break. The Great Rift Valley offers breathtaking natural scenery, making it a highlight of any trip to Kenya.

The journey then continues to the Masai Mara. This vast reserve is part of the greater Serengeti ecosystem, famously known for the spectacular great migration, and it is home to the Big Five: lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino. Lunch will be served at camp, with time to relax before departing on an afternoon game drive.

Other animals found in the reserve include Masai giraffe, buffalo, eland, impala, zebra, topi, and both Thomson's and Grant's gazelle.

Day 2

Full-day Game Drive at Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will depart for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch. On the plains, you may encounter large herds of herbivores grazing, while cheetah and leopard remain hidden in the grasslands. The Masai Mara is regarded as the jewel of Kenya's wildlife viewing areas. An impressive 95 species of mammal, amphibian, and reptile, along with more than 400 bird species, have been recorded in the reserve.

Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, and it is for this reason that visitors rarely miss the chance to see the Big Five. Lunch will be enjoyed at a picnic site before continuing to the Mara River migration point. Later in the evening, you will return to the camp for dinner.

Day 3

After a full breakfast, proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park. Along the way, enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mt Longonot and Lake Naivasha, with the option to take a boat ride for USD 20. Continue to Nakuru, arriving in time for lunch, with a game drive en route to spot leopard, which are frequently sighted in Lake Nakuru National Park.

After lunch, set out on another game drive to seek out the two species of rhino found here, black and white rhinos. Lake Nakuru National Park is also famous for its rich birdlife, including thousands of flamingos.

Day 9

After an early breakfast at the camp, depart with picnic lunches for at least a six-hour game drive within Serengeti National Park. Here you will track wildlife such as wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, lion, lioness, black rhino, cheetah, leopard, hyena, bushbuck, lesser kudu, wild dog, kongoni, impala, Grant's gazelle, black-backed jackal, mongoose, olive baboon and vervet monkeys.

By noon, leave the park with a stopover at Olduvai Gorge at an additional cost of $35 per person. By evening, you will arrive at the conservancy area for dinner and an overnight stay at Simba Camp.

After breakfast at the camp, depart for a game drive within the Ngorongoro Crater, descending to the floor with the chance to see lion, elephant, black rhino, blue wildebeest, leopard, cheetah and hyena. You may also spot wild dog, Grant's zebra, African buffalo and hippos near the crater rim.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at the rim before ascending to the main gate. After six hours in the crater, exit and drive to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
