Fly from Zanzibar to Ruaha National Park

06:00 am: You will be picked up from the hotel and transferred to the airport terminal one.
07:00 am: Departure time from Zanzibar to Ruaha.
10:05 am: Arrival time at Ruaha, where you will be met by our driver-guide. After the briefing, you will be heading to the lodge for lunch. You'll enjoy a game drive en route to the lodge until sunset.

Explore Fauna and Flora in Ruaha National Park

No rush, however, early morning and late game are the best times due to wildlife behaviours, with your packed lunch. You will have a full-day game drive in Ruaha National Park. In the afternoon, you'll stop for a picnic or hot lunch at your luxury Lodge.

Almost as large as the Serengeti, with its untouched nature remains one of the most exciting game reserves. It is a birdwatcher’s paradise with 350 different species of birds. Wildlife is concentrated along the Great Ruaha River, which is the heart of the wildlife in the park. Waterbucks, impalas, and Grant's gazelles. The shores of the Great Ruaha River is the permanent hunting ground for lions, leopards, jackals, hyenas, and African wild dogs.

Walking Safari, Ruaha National Park

You have a 6:00 am option of an early morning walking safari with an armed ranger best wildlife experience. Then, you'll return to the lodge for breakfast before continuing with another full day of game drives in Ruaha National Park. In the afternoon, you'll stop for a picnic.

The park boasts an almost untouched and unexplored ecosystem, making for a very special safari. It is one of the few famous wilderness areas in Tanzania where one can have a unique experience of wildlife spotting and exploring the fascinating landscape. The park is home to the greater kudu, which cannot be found in any other park.

Flight from Ruaha to Zanzibar Island

6:30 am: Farewell breakfast in Ruaha.
7:00 am: You will be transferred to Msembe Airstrip for a flight to Zanzibar via Dar es Salaam.
9:30 am: Departure time from Ruaha to Zanzibar.
2:05 pm: Arrival time at Zanzibar Airport. You'll be met on arrival and dropped off at your Zanzibar beach hotel.
