Day 1

Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Your safari will begin with a pick-up at 7:30am from your hotel or the airport in Nairobi. From there, you will drive to Amboseli National Park.

Upon arrival in Amboseli, you will check into your lodge or camp, enjoy a hot lunch, and have some time to rest before embarking on an afternoon game drive at 4:00pm.

One of the main attractions of Amboseli National Park is its large population of elephants, with over 1,600 elephants from 56 different families. Each elephant has a name and a photo assigned to it.

After the game drive, you will return to the lodge or camp, freshen up, and then savor a freshly prepared dinner.

You will spend your night at Amboseli Sopa Lodge.

Today's itinerary is flexible, so you can discuss the day's schedule with your guide.

You have two options for the day:

1. After a relaxed breakfast, depart for full-day game drives at around 7:30am, with a picnic lunch. You will return to the lodge or camp late in the afternoon.

2. Depart at 6:00am for an early morning game drive, then return to the lodge or camp for breakfast and relaxation until mid-afternoon. At 4:00pm, depart for an afternoon game drive.

At 6:30pm, return to the lodge or camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3

Amboseli to Lake Naivasha

Amboseli to Lake Naivasha

Have breakfast, and then head to Lake Naivasha. Stop at the Rift Valley viewpoint for a scenic photo session before heading to Lake Naivasha, where you will arrive in the afternoon in time for lunch. After lunch, go for a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, followed by a walking safari in the animal sanctuary. Your encounters with animals like giraffes and zebras will be so close that you can almost touch them. Head back to the lodge, freshen up, and enjoy a freshly prepared dinner. Spend the night at your lodge.

Day 4

Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru

Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru

Start your day with breakfast at the lodge and then make your way to Hell's Gate National Park. You can enjoy a cycling safari and hiking at the park's famous gorges here.

Named for the intense geothermal activity within its boundaries, Hell's Gate National Park is a stunning part of the Great Rift Valley. Its remarkable scenery includes towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, rugged rock towers, scrub-clad volcanoes, and plumes of geothermal steam, making it one of the most atmospheric parks in Africa. Hell's Gate is an ideal destination for a day trip from Nairobi, offering diverse wildlife, such as raptors, as well as activities like mountain biking, rock climbing, and a natural spa.

Later, you will continue your journey to Lake Nakuru.

Day 5

Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara

Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara

Enjoy breakfast and head out for an early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. This park is home to hundreds of black and white rhinos and a variety of other wildlife. After the game drive, we will return to the hotel or lodge.

Later, we will drive to the Masai Mara. Between July and October, the Great Rift Valley becomes busy with millions of zebras and wildebeest making the perilous crossing across the Masai Mara in search of new grazing territory. Following them are a multitude of predators. We will arrive in time for lunch, followed by some relaxation.

At 5:00pm, Masai morans (warriors) will pick you up from your hotel and guide you through a walking safari in the dense Masai Mara. After the safari, you will go on a cultural tour to visit some of the old ethnic groups that still exist. Finally, we will return to the lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Today's itinerary is flexible. You can discuss with your guide and plan the day's schedule.

You can enjoy a relaxed breakfast and depart for a full day of game drives around the park at 6:30am with a picnic lunch. This will give you a chance to visit the Mara River where the migration happens during its time. Also, you will have a better chance to view wildlife all day and return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

A Masai Mara safari is an unmissable highlight of any holiday in Kenya.
