Day 1

Your safari adventure begins with a 7:00 AM pick-up from your beach hotel in Mombasa or Diani. Depart the coast and journey inland through rural Kenya, passing by scenic landscapes, palm-fringed villages, and local markets. After a few hours on the road, you’ll arrive at the gates of Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya’s oldest and largest parks. Known for its vast open savannah, red-dust landscapes, and famous “red elephants,” Tsavo East offers a classic African wilderness experience.

Upon arrival, check in to your lodge or camp and enjoy a well-deserved lunch. Spend the early afternoon resting, taking in views of the park from your veranda or poolside. Later, head out for an evening game drive as the animals become more active in the cooler hours. Keep an eye out for lions, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and abundant birdlife. Return to your accommodation for dinner under the stars. Overnight in the heart of the wild.

Day 2

Start your day with an early breakfast and check out, followed by a morning game drive in Tsavo East, taking advantage of the soft morning light and high chances of wildlife sightings. You might catch a glimpse of predators on the move or elephants gathering at waterholes. After your safari, depart around 11:00 AM and begin your drive toward Amboseli National Park. You’ll stop for lunch en route at Voi Town, where you can stretch your legs and enjoy a local meal.

The drive to Amboseli takes you through changing scenery, from the red-dust plains of Tsavo to the greener lands at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive at Amboseli in the evening at around 5:00 PM and check into your lodge or tented camp. Spend the evening at leisure, taking in the spectacular views of Africa’s highest peak, often visible in the clear skies at sunset. Enjoy dinner and relax overnight amid the iconic acacia-dotted landscape.

Begin your day with a relaxed breakfast and prepare for a full-day adventure in Amboseli National Park, known for its iconic views of Mount Kilimanjaro and large elephant herds. At around 8:00 AM, set out with your picnic lunch boxes for an extended game drive, allowing you to explore the diverse habitats of the park including wetlands, savannah plains, and woodlands. Marvel at herds of elephants with the snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro as a backdrop, an iconic safari scene.

You may also spot lions, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, and countless bird species, especially around the swampy areas. Stop for a bush lunch at a scenic spot before continuing your afternoon exploration. Return to the lodge around 4:00 or 5:00 PM to unwind. If you're interested, you can join an optional visit to a local Maasai village for a cultural experience filled with traditional music, dance, and storytelling. Wake up before sunrise for a magical early morning game drive, the best time to see predators winding down from a night’s hunt or herbivores grazing in the golden morning light. Capture stunning photographs with Kilimanjaro in the background if the skies are clear. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast around 9:00 AM and begin packing for your onward journey.

At around 10:00 AM, depart Amboseli and begin the drive toward Nairobi, passing through the scenic Kenyan countryside and small towns along the way. This journey offers a final glimpse of rural life and beautiful landscapes as you leave the wild behind. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon, with drop-off at your city hotel or directly at the airport, depending on your travel arrangements.
