Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch before heading out on an afternoon game drive along the Ewaso Nyiro River. Samburu is home to the rare Samburu Special Five—Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk—as well as lions, leopards, and elephants. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Spend the day exploring Samburu’s unique ecosystem on morning and afternoon game drives. The landscape here is dry and rugged, with open savannahs, rocky outcrops, and acacia woodlands that support diverse wildlife not commonly found in southern Kenya. Look out for predators lounging by the riverbanks, herds of elephants crossing the plains, and colorful birdlife among the trees. Between drives, enjoy leisure time at your lodge. Ol Pejeta is a conservation leader, home to the Big Five, the last two northern white rhinos, and Kenya’s only chimpanzee sanctuary. Your visit supports cutting-edge conservation and community programs. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight surrounded by the sounds of the wild.
