Safari from Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park

Early in the morning, at around 4:30am, drive from Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy a full-day game drive in a modified safari vehicle with a professional guide.

Great animal sightings, including those of the favorites like lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, and the now rare African hunting dog, are to be expected. You will also see a large variety of birds and incredible scenery with varied topography, including wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest, and higher ground with vast views of far-off mountains. In the afternoon, at 1:30pm, you will have a lunch box before continuing with a game up to mid-afternoon. Dinner and overnight will be at Nyerere tented camp.

Boat tour and Return back to Dar es Salaam

After breakfast at 7:00 AM, you'll start the boat trip. Usually, the boat trip leaves camp at 7:30 AM and returns at 9:00 AM. It's an ideal trip. You will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Rufiji River with many hippos, crocodiles, and beautiful birdlife plus capture the sunrise. There is nothing quite like the serenity of the river while the sun dips below the horizon. After a boat tour at 10:00 AM, you’ll start driving back to Dar es Salaam with a drop-off at the hotel or any point of interest! This will be the end of your safari and we mark it as the beginning of a long-lasting friendship.
