3-Day Fly to Nyerere NP Game Drive from Zanzibar

Fly to Selous from Zanzibar

Our professional driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Zanzibar International Airport for your flight to Nyerere National Park. Upon arrival, you will begin your journey into the Selous Game Reserve with our experienced driver and tour guide.

Once inside the reserve, you'll enjoy a full-day game drive. In the afternoon, you'll be provided with a packed lunch and have some time to rest before continuing your game drive until around 4:00 PM. Afterward, you'll return to camp to prepare for the night game drive.

The night game drive runs from approximately 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. During this time, many animals are active and on the move. There’s a high chance of spotting various nocturnal species, especially big cats such as lions and leopards, as well as other wildlife. You’ll also enjoy a unique bush dinner under the stars.

Bushman and Boating and Cultural tour

In the morning, you will enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the camp, followed by some leisure time to rest and take in the beautiful natural surroundings. At around 10:00 AM, you’ll head out for a cultural village tour of Mloka Village.

This tour offers a unique opportunity to interact with the local community, learn about their daily lifestyle, traditions, and customs, and gain insight into rural Tanzanian culture. You’ll visit local homes, schools, and markets, giving you an authentic cultural experience.

In the afternoon after lunch, at around 4:00 PM, you'll set off for an unforgettable boat safari on the Rufiji River. This relaxing cruise allows you to observe wildlife from a different perspective.

As the sun begins to set, you’ll witness the breathtaking colors of the African sky reflecting over the river—an experience that’s both serene and spectacular. After the boat safari, you'll drive to the Lodge for dinner and preparation for the next day's adventure.

Walking and Flying to Zanzibar

On your final day, you’ll start early with a guided walking safari through the forest, accompanied by an experienced and armed ranger. This is a truly immersive experience that allows you to explore the bush on foot, learn about animal tracks, plants, insects, and the smaller details of the ecosystem that are often missed during game drives.

After the walk, you’ll return to the lodge for breakfast and some time to freshen up. Once you're ready, our driver will transfer you to Mtemere Airstrip for your return flight to Zanzibar, marking the end of your unforgettable safari adventure.
