Day 1

Depart Kigali and drive to Akagera National Park, entering through the southern gate. Enjoy a game drive en route to Ruzizi Tented Lodge, located along Lake Ihema. In the afternoon, take a scenic boat safari on Lake Ihema, where you can spot hippos, crocodiles, and water birds up close. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Ruzizi Tented Lodge.

After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive as you journey through Akagera National Park from the southern to the northern sector. After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive as you exit Akagera through the northern gate, offering one last chance to spot wildlife. Your guide will then transfer you back to Kigali. In the afternoon, take a guided city tour including the Kigali Genocide Memorial and local sites such as art galleries or craft markets. Later, check in at your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Kigali.
