Pick up, Kigali city tour - transfer to Akagera National Park | Night Game Drive

Today, our guide will pick you up from your hotel or the airport for a short briefing about the journey ahead. You will then enjoy a guided tour of Kigali, starting with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about Rwanda’s history and resilience.
Next, visit the Nyamirambo Women's Center for a cultural experience where you will take part in activities such as cooking traditional dishes, weaving mats and baskets, and sewing African attire, followed by enjoying a local meal at the center.
After lunch, transfer to Akagera National Park, home to the Big Five in northeastern Rwanda. Enjoy scenic views of rolling hills, terraced valleys, and lush landscapes along the way.
Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and relax before heading out for a night game drive. As Rwanda’s only savannah park, Akagera offers a unique setting where you may spot nocturnal wildlife such as lions, hyenas, and other fascinating species.

Early Morning Game Drive | Optional Balloon Tour - Sunset Boat Trip

Early in the morning after breakfast, set out for an exciting game drive in Akagera National Park. This experience offers the opportunity to spot the iconic Big Five — lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos — along with other remarkable wildlife such as Masai giraffes, zebras, diverse antelope species, and a wide variety of birdlife. For an even more extraordinary perspective, you may opt for a hot air balloon safari, allowing you to witness the breathtaking wilderness from above.
After this thrilling adventure, enjoy a relaxing sunset boat cruise on Lake Ihema, Akagera’s largest lake, known for its rich aquatic ecosystem. As you glide across the calm waters, you will see hippos wallowing, crocodiles basking along the shores, and herds of elephants and buffaloes gathering to drink. Morning game drive - back to Kigali

Today, after breakfast in the morning, check out and get into the wild for search of wildlife species that you might have missed in the previous game drives. Akagera national park is giving in the morning when all animals are out of their natural habitants searching for food and some hunting their prey. After this thrilling adventure, drive through the park to exit and embark on your journey to Kigali city. End.
