The tour often begins with arrival at Kigali International Airport (KGL) in Rwanda, where you'll be met by a guide. A city tour of Kigali, including a visit to the Genocide Memorial, is included before transferring to Volcanoes National Park for the golden Monkey trekking. The journey then continues to Volcanoes National Park, a drive of approximately 3 hours from Kigali. Check in later for the booked accommodation for an overnight stay.

Day 2

Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Uganda

After breakfast, you'll head to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for golden monkey trekking. The trek to see the golden monkeys is generally shorter than the gorilla trek. You'll spend an hour with these endangered primates. After the golden monkey trek, you'll transfer to Uganda for your gorilla trekking experience either in Bwindi or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.

Day 3

Gorilla Trekking Experience

Gorilla Trekking Experience

The day starts early with breakfast and a briefing at the park headquarters. You'll be divided into groups and assigned a gorilla family to track. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 8 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. You'll spend a precious hour observing the gorillas before returning to the lodge and transferring back to Kigali.

With the heart and camera full of memories, our Gorilla Explorers guide will drop you off at the airport or hotel in Kigali.
